Construction subcontracting company specializing in electrical, mechanical, and HVAC work for large infrastructure and commercial projects is seeking a Project Accountant to work closely with the VP of Finance. This is an on-site role with competitive back and great union benefits. The ideal Project Accountant holds the following: 3+ years of accounting experience within the construction industry Technically savvy Holds a bachelors degree in accounting, finance, business, or similar The day to day responsibilities are as followed but not limited to : Reviewing and processing subcontractor invoices Tracking subcontract costs vs. budget Managing payments to subcontractors Handling contracts, change orders, and compliance Coordinating with project managers and subcontractors on billing issues Support project managers with cost, reporting, forecasting Assist with the month-end close, compliance, and audit support
