• Must possess expertise in microbiological testing for food-related products, such as health supplements, sugar-based foods, and functional foods.
• One should include mathematics and statistics, the metric system, scientific research methodology, and health or sanitation standards in their knowledge.
• The candidate should possess the capacity to perform standardized laboratory analyses independently, conduct statistical analyses, and identify the organisms, reporting and interpreting the results.
• Follow proper laboratory procedures and maintain the utmost level of accuracy in the testing method.
• The article discusses the regulatory aspects of food, including the FSSAI, USFDA, and EU, among others.
• A comprehensive understanding of the microbiological methods used to test food (BAM, ISO methods) and the ability to handle equipment associated with microbial testing and maintenance.
