Asst manager/ manager operations

Key Responsibilities

Manage and execute day-to-day shipping operations efficiently and effectively.

Plan and monitor post-fixture activities, ensuring optimum vessel and cargo utilization while maintaining profitability.

Track and coordinate port operations, providing timely operational updates and insights.

Support commercial and operational teams with accurate information and effective decision-making inputs.

Monitor post-fixture performance parameters and drive operational excellence.

Ensure compliance with applicable maritime regulations, safety standards, company policies, and operating procedures.

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of voyages and customer commitments.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Nautical Science or any other discipline from a reputed institution, and/or Post Graduate Diploma in Shipping.

• Professional qualifications such as MICS will be an added advantage.

Experience

• 3–4 years of relevant experience in Dry Bulk Shipping Operations.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of dry bulk shipping, logistics, and supply chain operations.

• Knowledge of international maritime regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements.

• Ability to assess operational and market risks, including geopolitical and commercial challenges.

• Strong communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.

• Quick decision-making ability in a fast-paced shipping environment.

• Sound commercial and financial acumen.

• Familiarity with digital shipping platforms and technology-driven operational processes.

• Customer-centric mindset with a focus on service excellence and reliability.
