Deputy General Manager - Accounts

We're Hiring | DGM – Accounts Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka Experience: 5 Years | Post Articleship Preferred Qualification: Inter CA (Any Group Cleared) Joining: Immediate / Short Notice Preferred A high-growth education organisation is strengthening its Finance & Accounts function and is looking for a DGM – Accounts to join its team. The role will work closely with the Head – Accounts and serve as the second-in-command within the Accounts function , with responsibility across financial reporting, controllership, audits, MIS, statutory compliance, financial controls and finance transformation. Key Responsibilities Drive monthly, quarterly and annual financial closures across multiple entities. Prepare consolidated financial statements, MIS, schedules and variance analysis. Ensure accuracy of books, reconciliations and financial controls. Manage statutory and internal audit coordination and closure of audit observations. Oversee statutory, tax and regulatory compliance. Develop Excel-based MIS, analytical models, dashboards and management reports. Support budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and Board reporting. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders and senior finance teams. Drive ERP improvements, finance automation and process standardisation. Strengthen internal controls, documentation and IPO-readiness initiatives. Mentor team members and independently manage key finance workstreams. Support the Head – Accounts on strategic and operational finance initiatives. Ideal Candidate 5 years of relevant experience, preferably post-articleship. Inter CA (Any Group Cleared). Strong experience in end-to-end accounting and financial closures. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Comfortable working with auditors, consultants and senior finance professionals. Advanced Excel and strong MIS reporting capabilities. Experience in multi-entity environments and ERP systems is preferred. Strong ownership, attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
