Civil Structural Design

Job Description: - Reporting to the Discipline Civil Head, The Structural Engineer will support the application & technology development of Substation engineering practices related to Equipment Supporting Structures, Steel Structures, Foundations, Wind Pile/Raft Foundations etc. Roles & Responsibilities: - Proficiency in Design of Steel & Concrete Structure like MCR, HT Switchgear Room Building, Steel Tower & equipment support steel structures etc. Proficiency in design of shallow foundations including design of Equipment foundations like Power Transformer, CT, CVT, Isolator, Tower Foundation etc. Develops optimized design for soil foundation systems like Power Transformer Foundation, Steel & Concrete Structures in conformity with quality standards requirements. Interface with other Project Specialists and Designers and plan, co-ordinate, execute and control the geotechnical engineering activities for a project or a proposal in accordance with project requirements. Knowledge of Site grading drawings, road & paving layouts, drainage layouts etc. Initiate and manage studies with external Contractors and Consultants. Prepares and follow-up Subcontracts associated to the design of Substation consultant/Vendors Knowledge of Solar PV area will be an added advantage. Education Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering - B. Tech/B.E Must have 8 - 10 years of experience in design of substation & power sector Essential Criteria: - Significant experience in Substation engineering Must have worked in Staad Software in Analysis & Design Specialist Engineer in Engineering Design & Detailing of Civil & Structural works of Substation Projects. Excellent communication and networking skills Flexible and adaptable approach to work Desirable Criteria Substation, Solar & Wind experience of Civil & Structural Design, site preparation and ground treatment technologies, and foundation design.
