Systems Programming Engineer

Salary: $60,000 - 85,000 per year Requirements:

• Proven experience in software development and systems engineering in enterprise environments
• Experience implementing or working with ERP systems
• Experience with report design tools such as Crystal Reports or Reporting Services
• Experience implementing EDI transactions, including 850 (orders), 852 (POS), 810 (invoices), and 856 (ASN)
• Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence solutions
• Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices principles, and systems architecture frameworks
• Hands-on application development experience with frameworks such as .NET
• Proficiency with database management systems, including T-SQL and PL/SQL, and database configuration management
• Knowledge of networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, and VPNs, along with network security protocols and cloud security practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including conducting vulnerability assessments and applying system-hardening measures
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field; advanced certifications in systems engineering or cybersecurity are advantageous
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain ideas in clear, business-friendly language
• Motivation, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize and complete tasks effectively in high-pressure situations
• Excellent service orientation and experience collaborating in a team-focused environment

• Design, develop, and optimize system architectures for enterprise applications and services using VB.NET, Java, C#, or other programming languages
• Build and manage system integrations using RESTful APIs, web services, SOAP, and microservices
• Create scripts to automate tasks, manage configurations, and troubleshoot systems
• Administer SQL Server databases, including data modeling and query optimization
• Diagnose and resolve system issues involving Windows operating systems, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, load balancing, ESXi virtualization, and security in Azure or other cloud platforms
• Work with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and develop solution architectures aligned with business goals
• Apply CI/CD practices and tools such as Jenkins or Git to improve development workflows within Agile methods
