Tutor, AP World History / AP Human Geography (Remote, US Based)

TPAPT, a national nonprofit consortium of over 15,000 locally owned and operated tutoring & college advising programs, is seeking experienced AP Instructors to work with US students in grades 9-12. Tutors will work closely with students to understand their unique learning styles and create customized lesson plans that support their individual academic goals.

The ideal candidate is a licensed teacher who is passionate about education, exhibits strong communication skills, and has instructed or tutored this AP course for their high school in the past.


Company: TPAPT Remote, US Central Time
Tests: AP World History or/and AP Human Geography
Classification: Contract
Compensation: $30-$35/hr
Location: Online

The Position:
Provide AP Test Prep Tutoring to students in grades 9-12
Tutoring assignments are 60-90 minutes
Tutoring assignments will be regular and reliable
Tutoring sessions are generally scheduled between 3PM and 9PM CST during the week and between 10am - 4pm CST for part of a weekend day.
Requirements

~3-12 hours per week of availability
~ Earned Bachelor's Degree
~ Materials for the subject mentioned in the post
~ Exceptionally strong communication skills
~ A passion for helping others learn
~ Familiarity with online lesson delivery
~ State teaching certification (current/former) and experience teaching the AP subject mentioned in this post preferred
