Job Overview The Casual Hospitalist is a member of the health care team who works in collaboration with other staff to provide comprehensive health care services to patients. The scope of practice of each physician is defined through the Fairview's Credentialing and Privileging Committees. The role of the hospitalist is to assess, maintain, and improve the health condition of the patients assigned to the hospitalist service and to provide consultation to other subspecialty services. Responsibilities Provides evaluation and treatment of patients appropriate to the Hospitalist Service. Completes comprehensive health and physical evaluation of patient Completes differential diagnosis of patient's condition Formulates patient evaluation plan Formulates, implements, and monitors treatment plan
