About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Accounts Manager to manage accounting and finance activities for our US and India operations.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in accounting, month-end closing, financial reporting, GST, TDS, statutory compliance, MIS, provisions, fixed assets, AR/AP, reconciliations, and audit support.
Strong hands-on experience with Zoho Books, Tally Prime, , and MS Excel is required. Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, IF functions, data analysis, and financial reporting, are preferred.
Experience with US-based entities, inter-company accounting, multi-currency, and cross-border transactions will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
1. US & India Accounting
Manage day-to-day accounting for US and Indian entities. Maintain accurate books, General Ledger, AP, AR, and bank transactions. Handle monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing. Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and prepaid expenses. Perform bank, customer, vendor, and inter-company reconciliations. Review AR/AP aging and follow up on outstanding balances. Manage multi-currency and cross-border transactions.2. US Accounting
Manage accounting activities for US-based entities. Knowledge of US GAAP and US accounting practices. Handle US bank reconciliations, AP/AR, accruals, fixed assets, and payroll accounting. Manage inter-company transactions and cross-charges between US and India entities. Coordinate with US CPAs, auditors, tax advisors, and payroll providers. Knowledge of W-9, 1099, sales tax, and other US compliance requirements is an advantage.3. GST & TDS Compliance
Manage GST accounting, reconciliations, and GST returns. Ensure correct GST treatment and timely payment of liabilities. Manage TDS accounting, deductions, payments, reconciliations, and TDS returns. Coordinate with tax consultants for GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory matters.4. Fixed Assets & Provisions
Maintain and review the Fixed Asset Register. Record additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation, and related adjustments. Prepare and review monthly provisions, accruals, prepaid expenses, and reversals. Reconcile fixed assets with the General Ledger.5. MIS & Management Reporting
Prepare and review monthly MIS reports. Prepare/review P& L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, AR/AP Aging, Revenue, Expense, Inter-company, and Budget vs. Actual reports. Perform financial and variance analysis and provide insights to management.6. AR, AP, Cash Flow & Payroll
Review customer receivables, vendor payables, invoices, payments, and employee reimbursements. Assist with cash flow forecasting and working capital management. Review payroll accounting for US and India employees, including salaries, bonuses, benefits, reimbursements, and payroll taxes. Reconcile payroll reports with accounting records.7. Accounting Systems & Process Improvement
Maintain accounting records in Zoho Books and Tally Prime and process payments through . Ensure accuracy of ledgers, chart of accounts, cost centers, and financial data. Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and automation. Develop and maintain Finance & Accounting SOPs.8. Audit & Compliance
Coordinate with internal/external auditors, statutory auditors, tax consultants, and US CPAs. Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, supporting documents, and financial statements. Ensure timely completion of audit and statutory compliance requirements.Preferred Candidate Profile
6–7 years of relevant accounting and finance experience. Strong knowledge of India accounting and statutory compliance. Hands-on experience with Zoho Books, Tally Prime, , and MS Excel. Experience managing US and India accounting operations preferred. Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple entities and deadlines independently. Strong attention to detail and ownership of accounting activities.Key Requirement: The candidate should be capable of reviewing, analyzing, reconciling, identifying discrepancies, and taking ownership of the overall accounting process, rather than being limited to routine data-entry activities.
