Dear Candidate,

We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Ayurveda Teacher to introduce school children to the foundational principles and wisdom of classical Ayurveda.

Key Responsibilities

Teach classical Ayurvedic texts to school children, with primary emphasis on Ashtanga Hridayam . Introduce students to fundamental Ayurvedic principles, concepts and terminology in a structured and age-appropriate manner. Explain verses and concepts from the Samhitas with appropriate contextual references. Draw upon related Shastras , such as Tarka, Nyaya, Yoga and other relevant Indian knowledge systems, to provide deeper conceptual understanding. Teach selected Sanskrit verses and explain their meaning and relevance in a manner accessible to children. Adapt teaching methodologies to suit different age groups and levels of understanding. Encourage students to develop an appreciation for Ayurveda, Sanskrit and India's traditional knowledge systems. Assess students' learning and provide appropriate feedback and guidance. Create an engaging, disciplined and inspiring classroom environment. Participate in academic, cultural and educational activities of the institution as required.

Eligibility Criteria

MD (Samhita & Siddhanta) is preferred. Candidates with MD in other Ayurvedic disciplines may also be considered. BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) candidates with strong knowledge of Samhitas and Sanskrit may be considered. Strong academic and conceptual understanding of Classical Ayurveda . Good knowledge of Ashtanga Hridayam and other major Ayurvedic Samhitas. Proficiency in Sanskrit is mandatory
