Shipping and Receiving / Inventory Solutions SpecialistThis role focuses on driving business growth within a defined territory by serving as the primary point of contact for inventory-managed solutions at customer sites. The position combines hands-on shipping and receiving activities with inventory auditing, replenishment, and project management responsibilities to ensure customers have efficient, accurate, and well-designed inventory systems.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary contact for customer inventory management programs.Perform inventory audits and cycle counts at customer sites.Monitor and replenish inventory to maintain proper stock levels.Source and order products needed for customer inventory programs.Implement and set up new inventory management solutions.Organize inventory layouts, bin locations, and stock processes.Manage excess, obsolete, and discontinued inventory.Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and stock issues.Stock, label, and organize products for efficient warehouse operations.Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory-related activities.Ensure accurate inventory records and documentation.Collaborate with sales, operations, vendors, and customers.Train customers, vendors, and team members on inventory processes.Required Skills & ExperienceExperience with inventory management, shipping, or receiving.Experience performing inventory audits and cycle counts.Knowledge of inventory replenishment and stock control.Ability to implement and maintain inventory management programs.Basic project management skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Good organizational and record-keeping skills.Strong communication and customer service skills.Ability to problem-solve inventory discrepancies.High School Diploma or GED preferred.Preferred QualificationsCustomer-facing experience in a service or territory-based role.Experience training others on inventory processes and systems.Knowledge of inventory optimization and process improvements.Ability to manage multiple customer sites and projects.Experience supporting sales and operational teams.Strong analytical and inventory control skills.Work EnvironmentCombination of customer-site visits and warehouse environments.Frequent inventory audits and stock replenishment activities.Work with: Inventory systemsLabeling systemsShipping and receiving operationsStock organization processesRegular interaction with customers, vendors, sales teams, and operations staff.Mix of hands-on inventory work and administrative responsibilities.Why Join?Opportunity to work directly with customers and improve their inventory operations.Develop expertise in inventory management and supply chain solutions.Gain experience in project management and customer relationship management.Collaborative environment with cross-functional teams.Long-term career growth in inventory, logistics, and supply chain management.Opportunity to influence process improvements and operational efficiency.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hazelwood, MO.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.50/hr.
