Job Description
Job Title: Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Health Sciences
Location: India (Remote)
Availability requirement: Minimum 20-30 hours per week
Required Qualification: Bachelor's/Master's in Nursing, Health Science, Allied Health, Public Health, Biomedical Sciences, or related field. RN/LPN certification preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of healthcare systems, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Understanding of patient care practices, infection prevention, and healthcare ethics.
- Familiarity with Allied Health and Nursing career pathways.
- Knowledge of CTE Health Science curriculum and state/national educational standards.
- Ability to review instructional content for technical accuracy, clinical relevance and pedagogical effectiveness.
- Strong subject matter expertise in the assigned career cluster.
- Experience with curriculum development, instructional design, or educational publishing.
- Knowledge of state standards, curriculum correlation, and standards mapping.
- Strong analytical, editing, proofreading, and quality assurance skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and online collaboration tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and meet project deadlines.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality educational content.
Key Responsibilities
- Review curriculum for technical accuracy in Health Science and Nursing topics.
- Conduct curriculum correlation and state standards mapping.
- SB review for medical accuracy, pedagogy, terminology, and grade-level appropriateness.
- Review multimedia content, including images, videos, animations, and interactives, for subject accuracy and instructional effectiveness, and ensure healthcare procedures and concepts are accurately represented.
- Identify content gaps, inconsistencies, and required corrections.
- Validate learning objectives, assessments, and instructional flow.
- Support content finalization and participate in discussions and review meetings.
- Conduct curriculum correlation review against state and national standards.
- Collaborate with instructional designers, content developers, editors, and media teams.
- Participate in review meetings, team calls, and project discussions.
- Ensure high-quality, standards-aligned content prior to final publication.
