This role is ideal for an experienced pharmacist ready to take on a leadership position in Connecticut. Full-time Monday through Friday/Flexible full-time hours.

Position Overview

The Supervising Pharmacist (also known as Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist-in-Charge ) is responsible for managing daily pharmacy operations while ensuring full compliance with Connecticut State Board of Pharmacy , DEA , and federal regulations. This role combines clinical excellence, leadership, and operational oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff
• Ensure compliance with Connecticut pharmacy laws and regulations
• Oversee prescription dispensing, verification, and quality assurance
• Maintain accurate records, policies, and standard operating procedures
• Provide patient counseling and medication therapy management (MTM)
• Manage inventory, ordering, and controlled substance accountability
• Train, mentor, and evaluate pharmacy staff
• Collaborate with prescribers, vendors, and healthcare partners

Required Qualifications

• Active Connecticut (CT) Pharmacist License – required
• PharmD in Pharmacy from an accredited school
• Strong knowledge of CT pharmacy regulations and compliance standards
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced pharmacy environment
