Technical Design Manager - Kids Apparel

Our client, a well known children s apparel brand, is looking for a Technical Design Manager to join their team in New York! Responsibilities: Lead technical design development across global teams Drive cross-functional alignment to ensure product integrity from concept through production Lead innovation and develop solutions to resolve challenges within complex product development cycles Manage the rollout of new programs and retail partnerships, ensuring smooth integration into existing workflows Establish and implement SOPs and best practices across teams Lead process and system improvements that enhance efficiency Proactively identify and resolve issues in fit, fabric, and construction Evaluate textiles for performance and quality, while anticipating and resolving potential garment challenges Manage fittings, approvals, and overall quality standards Guide quality control efforts Qualifications: 7+ years of Technical Design experience within kids apparel Bachelor s Degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering or equivalent Expertise in Children's and Baby clothing, including fit, grading, and product integrity and safety Proficiency in 3D patternmaking Experience traveling to regional sourcing offices and/or factories to work with technical teams
