About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Finance Controller to lead and oversee the finance and accounting function. The role will be responsible for financial reporting, accounting controls, budgeting, compliance, cash-flow management, and providing financial insights to support business decisions.

The ideal candidate should have a strong NBFC background, combined with experience in managing finance functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the overall finance, accounting, reporting, and controllership function.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Monitor and manage working capital, cash flows, receivables, payables, and liquidity.
• Establish and strengthen financial controls, accounting processes, and governance mechanisms.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, taxation requirements, statutory regulations, and internal policies.
• Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants, banks, and other financial stakeholders.
• Oversee MIS and management reporting, providing actionable financial insights to senior management.
• Monitor profitability, costs, margins, and key financial KPIs and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Ensure appropriate controls around inventory, high-value assets, cash, banking transactions, and financial reconciliations, particularly relevant to a jewellery/retail environment.
• Support management in evaluating business investments, expansion plans, financing requirements, and other strategic financial decisions.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
• Strengthen financial systems, processes, and ERP-driven reporting to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Candidate Profile:

• CA Qualified/ CA Inter / MBA - Finance
• 10-15 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
• NBFC / Financial Services experience is mandatory.
• Strong experience in financial controllership, accounting, MIS, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
• Strong understanding of working capital and cash-flow management.
• Experience managing teams and working closely with senior management.
