Role Summary
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and technically capable Engineer / Senior Engineer to join the Tools Team. The selected candidate will be responsible for administering and enhancing engineering tools, ALM platforms, CI/CD environments, automation utilities, and reporting solutions. This role requires strong technical aptitude, stakeholder collaboration, and a continuous improvement mindset to drive engineering efficiency, tool adoption, and process compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and support engineering tools such as Jira, Confluence, Polarion ALM, and related platforms.
- Configure and maintain projects, workflows, work item types, user permissions, dashboards, and reports.
- Support ALM implementation activities, process compliance initiatives, and integrations across engineering tools.
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and management reports to support project and leadership visibility.
- Create automation solutions, utility scripts, and productivity enablers using Python and other relevant scripting technologies.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins jobs, Git-based workflows, and deployment automation activities.
- Collaborate with process owners, project teams, and engineering stakeholders to improve tool adoption, governance, and process effectiveness.
- Troubleshoot tool-related issues and provide timely technical support to end users.
- Prepare user guides, SOPs, training materials, and conduct enablement sessions for effective tool usage.
- Support AI-enabled automation, reporting, and enterprise-level digital transformation initiatives as applicable.
Required Skills and Experience
- 2–6 years of relevant experience in engineering tools administration, automation, ALM support, or DevOps support.
- Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Polarion ALM, and related engineering lifecycle management tools.
- Experience in workflow configuration, user administration, role-based access management, permissions handling, and dashboard creation.
- Hands-on knowledge of Python scripting, automation utilities, and productivity improvement solutions.
- Understanding of REST APIs, scripting approaches, and automation frameworks.
- Experience in Power BI reporting, dashboard development, and data visualization.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and shell scripting.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts, Jenkins, Git repositories, and deployment workflows.
- Good understanding of SDLC, Agile practices, ALM processes, and engineering process governance.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good communication, documentation, and user-support skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Exposure to tool administration, tool integrations, lifecycle management platforms, and engineering process automation.
- Exposure to AI / GenAI tools, automation platforms, and enterprise productivity solutions will be an added advantage.
