Manufacturing Head - Pharma/Biotech EPC Projects

<p> Job Title: <b> Manufacturing Head </b></p><p> Department: <b> Manufacturing </b></p><p> Reporting To: <b> Director / Managing Director </b></p><p> Location: <b> Pune (At Factory)</b></p><p></p><p> Job Summary </p><p> The Manufacturing Head will be responsible for leading and managing the complete manufacturing and fabrication operations of the company, ensuring productivity, quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery of projects. </p><p> The role requires strong expertise in handling large-scale fabrication jobs, EPC projects, and manufacturing activities related to API, Biotech, and Chemical industries. </p><p> The candidate should have a strong background in heavy fabrication, process equipment manufacturing, industrial project execution, and quality-driven manufacturing systems. </p><p></p><p> Key Responsibilities </p><p>1. Production &amp; Manufacturing Operations </p><ul><li> Lead end-to-end manufacturing and fabrication operations. </li><li> Ensure achievement of production targets as per project timelines and customer commitments. </li><li> Handle large and critical fabrication jobs with proper planning, monitoring, and execution. </li><li> Improve shop-floor productivity, machine utilization, and manpower efficiency. </li><li> Coordinate closely with design, projects, planning, procurement, and QA/QC teams. </li></ul><p>2. EPC Project Coordination </p><ul><li> Support execution of EPC projects from manufacturing perspective. </li><li> Ensure timely fabrication and delivery of equipment and systems for EPC projects. </li><li> Coordinate with project teams for technical requirements, documentation, and execution schedules. </li><li> Manage manufacturing challenges related to complex industrial projects. </li></ul><p>3. Quality &amp; Compliance </p><ul><li> Ensure adherence to quality standards, customer specifications, and industry requirements. </li><li> Implement robust quality control systems for fabrication, welding, assembly, and testing. </li><li> Reduce rejection, rework, and customer complaints through process improvements. </li><li> Ensure compliance with safety and statutory standards. </li></ul><p>4. Process Improvement &amp; Cost Control </p><ul><li> Drive continuous improvement initiatives in productivity, quality, safety, and cost optimization. </li><li> Implement lean manufacturing practices and process improvements. </li><li> Optimize material usage and reduce manufacturing wastage. </li></ul><p>5. Team Leadership </p><ul><li> Lead and mentor production engineers, supervisors, and shop-floor teams. </li><li> Develop a performance-oriented manufacturing culture. </li><li> Identify training and skill development requirements. </li></ul><p></p><p> Required Qualifications &amp; Experience </p><ul><li> Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field. </li><li>12–15 years of experience in manufacturing and fabrication operations. </li><li> Experience in manufacturing for API, Biotech, Chemical, or Process industries is mandatory. </li><li> EPC project experience preferred. </li><li> OEM manufacturing experience preferred. </li><li> Strong exposure to heavy fabrication, stainless steel process equipment, piping, skids, tanks, and industrial systems. </li><li> Experience in handling large manufacturing teams and industrial projects. </li></ul><p></p><p> Required Skills </p><ul><li> Manufacturing &amp; fabrication management </li><li> EPC project coordination </li><li> Knowledge of API/Biotech/Chemical industry standards </li><li> Welding and fabrication processes </li><li> Production planning and execution </li><li> Quality systems and compliance </li><li> Cost control and productivity improvement </li><li> Leadership and team management </li><li> ERP/MIS reporting </li></ul><p></p><p> Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)</p><ul><li> On-time project delivery </li><li> Production efficiency </li><li> Quality compliance </li><li> Reduction in rejection and rework </li><li> Cost optimization </li><li> Customer satisfaction </li><li> Safety performance </li></ul><p></p>
