The full job description covers all associated skills, previous experience, and any qualifications that applicants are expected to have.
We're hiring a full-time Senior Project Manager in our Procurement Department, the in-house team that ensures our lighting designs are built exactly as intended. Our Project Managers bid, purchase, coordinate, and deliver lighting equipment for the projects we design, working closely with our design studios and construction teams from proposal through final fixture aiming.
What This Role Looks LikeYou'll read architectural drawings, perform quantity take-offs, build competitive proposals, manage submittals and ship schedules, place orders, coordinate with contractors and manufacturers, track budgets, and visit job sites. You are a person who makes sure hundreds of specified lighting fixtures arrive on time, get installed correctly, and look the way our designers envisioned. As a senior member of the team, you'll also help shape how the department runs. Working alongside the principal who leads procurement, you'll help set team assignments and improve the systems, processes, and standards we all work by. You'll have a real voice in how we bid, track, and deliver our projects, and the chance to make the whole team better at what we do.This is a building and construction coordination role with a deep technical product component. We're open to people who arrive with different strengths. If you've managed complex builds, coordinated trades, called cues in a theater, estimated millwork packages, or run logistics for installations with many moving parts, you likely have the project skills. If you've led teams, built workflows that others rely on, or brought order to a busy operation, you likely have the leadership skills. The right person brings a solid foundation in one and the drive to grow in the other.
Ideal Previous ExperienceTheatrical production/stage management, technical direction, or assistant lighting designConstruction management, millwork estimation, or trade coordinationInterior design or architecture project managementLighting showroom, distribution, or manufacturer representative workSupervising a team of coordinators, project managers, or production staffBuilding or improving the systems, workflows, and standards a team relies onAny role combining technical product knowledge with complex logistics under deadline pressure

Technical SkillsProficiency in Bluebeam, Adobe InDesign, and advanced Microsoft ExcelAbility to read and interpret architectural and electrical drawingsDatabase familiarity (Oasis sales software is a plus)Familiarity with architectural lighting fixtures, electrical installation, or lighting controls is preferred but not required if you learn quickly
Leadership QualitiesYou communicate clearly and directly with teammates, designers, contractors, and manufacturers, and you adjust your approach to the audienceYou give honest, constructive feedback and take it wellYou stay calm and organized when priorities shift, and you help others do the sameYou balance workload fairly, knowing when to step in, when to delegate, and when to let someone learn by doingYou notice when a process isn't working and bring a practical fix, not just the problemYou set a high standard for accuracy and follow-through, and you hold yourself to it firstYou enjoy teaching and want to see the people around you growYou build trust across the office, including with our design team, because procurement works best when both sides are aligned
