Role Description The Special Educator will work on-site in one of our Akal Academies in Punjab, Haryana, UP and Rajasthan, in a full-time capacity, supporting students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive or specialized classroom setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering individualized and small-group instruction, adapting curriculum materials, and developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or equivalent support plans. The role involves assessing student progress, documenting outcomes, and collaborating with general education teachers to modify classroom activities and assessments. The Special Educator will communicate regularly with families and caregivers, participate in multidisciplinary meetings, and contribute to a safe, respectful, and accessible school environment. Additional tasks include maintaining accurate records, supporting classroom behavior management, and engaging in ongoing professional learning related to special education practices.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Special Education practices and experience working with learners with Disabilities.
• Proven Teaching skills with Middle School students, including lesson planning, classroom management, and assessment.
• Effective Communication skills for collaborating with students, families, colleagues, and support staff.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Special Education, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
• Familiarity with individualized education planning, differentiated instruction, and inclusive classroom strategies.
• Ability to work on-site in Rajgarh, demonstrating reliability, empathy, and cultural sensitivity.
• Prior experience in school-based settings and knowledge of local educational guidelines is an advantage.
