Salary: $128,000 - 168,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for a software developer with at least 3-5 years of experience in embedded, robotics, UAS, or other real-time systems.
• We require a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• You should have strong skills in C/C++ and Python, with regular experience on embedded Linux.
• We want someone with full-stack experience, including back-end services and APIs as well as front-end operator interfaces.
• You should be comfortable working with machine-to-machine communication and interfaces such as MAVLink, serial, UDP/TCP, and Ethernet.
• Experience integrating autopilots or flight controllers such as PX4, ArduPilot, or similar systems, including telemetry, is needed.
• We expect disciplined use of Git, code review practices, CI pipelines, and automated testing.
• You should be prepared to support flight testing at U.S. military installations and iterate based on live flight data.
• Strong attention to detail and a bias toward shipping reliable software are important.
• Preferred: active U.S. security clearance, at minimum Secret, with TS or TS/SCI preferred.
• Preferred: prior work on Department of War programs.
• Preferred: experience building or extending ground control station software for fixed-wing UAS.
• Preferred: familiarity with encrypted digital datalinks and long-range communications.
• Preferred: experience with GPS-denied navigation, multi-frequency GNSS, and CRPA anti-jam functionality in software.
• Preferred: experience with autonomous waypoint flight, return-to-launch, and automated launch and recovery sequencing.
• Preferred: familiarity with MIL-STD and DO-178 software practices.

• We build and integrate the software that connects new payloads and mission systems to the Raybird air vehicle and its ground control station.
• We develop payload control, telemetry, and mission-data software that interfaces with autopilots, sensors, and radios.
• We create operator-facing tools for real-time video, mapping, telemetry, and mission management across both front-end and back-end systems.
• We bring up new mission equipment on the bench by defining interfaces, writing drivers and adapters, and validating the full data path end to end.
• We develop test harnesses, simulators, loggers, and data-reduction tools that support rapid integration cycles.
• We support GPS-denied and EW-contested behavior in software while working with the navigation and autonomy effort.
• We turn builds quickly for flight testing, then review logs and resolve issues without delay.
