Role Description The Medical Transcriptionist role at expEDIum is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Medical Transcriptionist will analyze the written notes from healthcare professionals and accurately transcribe them into medical reports, correspondence, and other clinical documentation. Daily responsibilities include reviewing and editing transcribed documents for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to medical and legal standards, while maintaining patient confidentiality and data security. The role also involves verifying medical terminology, formatting documents according to organizational guidelines, and collaborating with clinical and administrative staff to resolve discrepancies. The Medical Transcriptionist is expected to meet productivity and quality targets and support consistent, timely documentation within expEDIum’s healthcare IT environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Transcribing, Transcription, and Transcription Services.
• Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Medical Terminology and familiarity with clinical documentation standards.
• Candidates should possess fast and accurate Typing skills and proficiency with word processing software.
• Attention to detail, strong listening skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality in handling patient information.
• Good command of written and spoken English and the ability to understand diverse accents.
• Experience as a medical transcriptionist or in a similar healthcare documentation role is preferred.
• Certificate or diploma in medical transcription, healthcare documentation, or a related field is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, follow standardized procedures, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
