I'm Ryan Jaiswal at Distinct Recruitment, and I'm recruiting a medical malpractice defense partner in West Palm Beach for a client firm. It's a hybrid role for someone who wants to lead cases, lead people and shape a healthcare defense practice.
What the role involves• Leading the defense of physicians, hospitals, surgical groups and other healthcare providers• First chairing trials and making the key strategic calls across a medical negligence docket• Managing expert strategy on complex causation and standard of care questions• Supervising and mentoring associates and counsel, from presuit through trial• Building relationships with carriers, risk managers and in house counsel at healthcare clients
What you'll bring• Substantial Florida medical malpractice defense experience, including first chair trial work• Florida Bar license in good standing• Credibility with healthcare clients and their insurers• A portable book is preferred, but it isn't required. Strong provider and carrier relationships, and a record at trial, count for a great deal
The terms• $200,000+, negotiable depending on book• 1,950 billable hours• Hybrid, based in West Palm Beach• A partnership with real authority over strategy and staffing
