Automation Engineer

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Automation & Control Systems Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and commission industrial automation solutions for large-scale manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PLC programming, SCADA/MES integration, OPC UA standards, industrial communication networks, and commissioning activities. Key Responsibilities • Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs using Siemens TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT, and Mitsubishi GX Works. • Review Functional Design Specifications (FDS), control philosophies, and automation architectures. • Design and implement PLC-SCADA-MES integrations and data exchange interfaces. • Develop and validate OPC UA Information Models and NodeSets. • Configure industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, MQTT, Modbus TCP, and OPC UA. • Execute FAT, SAT, commissioning, IQ/OQ, and system validation activities. • Support machine safety reviews, risk assessments, and safety PLC validation. • Collaborate with OEMs, suppliers, process engineering, MES/SCADA teams, and manufacturing operations. Mandatory Skills • Siemens TIA Portal (S7-1500/S7-1200) • Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 • Mitsubishi GX Works • PLC Programming (Structured Text, Ladder, FBD) • OPC UA Information Modeling & NodeSet Generation • SCADA/MES Integration • Industrial Networks: Profinet, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, MQTT, Modbus TCP • FAT, SAT & Commissioning Experience • Functional Safety (IEC 13849, IEC 61508) Preferred Skills • Ignition SCADA • Python & SQL • REST API Integration • Robotics Integration (KUKA/FANUC/Stäubli) • Battery Manufacturing or Automotive Industry Experience • Industrial Cybersecurity & IT/OT Integration Qualifications • B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, Control Systems, or Mechatronics. • Minimum 7 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems engineering.
