A. Job Purpose
To lead and manage Structures, Sheet Metal, Composite, and Painting maintenance activities, ensuring aircraft structural integrity, compliance with regulatory standards, high-quality workmanship, and on-time delivery of maintenance tasks while maintaining safety and cost efficiency.
B. Key Accountabilities Ensure all sheet metal, composite repair, and painting activities are carried out in accordance with approved maintenance data, AMM, SRM, CMM, and regulatory requirements. Plan, monitor, and control structural repairs, corrosion control, composite repairs, and painting tasks on the Airline fleet. Ensure only approved parts, materials, consumables, tools, and equipment with valid documentation are used during maintenance activities. Conduct routine inspections and surveys to identify structural defects, corrosion, damage, and paint deterioration, and plan rectification actions. Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards within the workshop and on aircraft. Coordinate with Planning, Logistics, Quality, MCC, and Engineering teams to ensure timely availability of materials and smooth execution of maintenance activities.
Team Management Conduct competency assessments and annual performance appraisals of Sheet Metal, Composite, and Painting staff. Mentor, train, and develop team members to enhance technical skills and compliance awareness. Ensure optimal manpower utilization and shift planning to meet operational requirements.
Any other additional responsibility may be assigned from time to time as a standalone project or as part of regular duties, duly agreed upon between the incumbent, reporting officer, and HR.

F. Educational and Experience Requirements
Minimum Education Requirements 10+2 (PCM) or equivalent AME Training from a DGCA-approved institution DGCA (I) AME License with appropriate Company Authorization / Type Rating in relevant aircraft categories

12 years of hands-on experience in Structures, Sheet Metal, Composite Repair, and Painting on transport category aircraft in a scheduled airline or MRO
10 years on Narrow Body (A320 Family) and/or 8 years on Wide Body (B777 / B787)
