• Provides direct nursing care to geriatric population that suffers both significant psychiatric and physical co-morbidities.
• Ensuring that a safe and therapeutic environment exists and is maintained for this population.
• Safe administration of medication, including a thorough knowledge of psychiatric medications.
• Collaboration with all members of the interdisciplinary team in order to provide comprehensive psychiatric and medical care to both patients and their families

• Evidence of continuing education.
• Demonstrated proficiency in basic nursing process.
• Mental/behavioral health experience, with focus on geriatrics.
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Current SECURE Training or training completed within 1 year

• Current RN Massachusetts License
• BLS Certification
