Fund Accountant

A Financial Services Firm based in New York City is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join their team as a Fund Accountant.

Responsibilities:Support quarterly close activities, including account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and general ledger review.Record and review investment transactions to ensure accurate accounting and reporting.Coordinate capital calls and distributions, including related calculations and documentation.Prepare quarterly investor reports, capital account statements, and responses to ad hoc information requests.Compile financial reporting packages and assist with the preparation of year-end financial statements.Coordinate with auditors and tax advisors, providing schedules and documentation to support annual deliverables.Assist with compliance reporting and maintain accurate supporting records.Perform financial and operational analyses related to portfolio activity, fund expenses, and managed accounts.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.2–4+ years of relevant experience in public accounting or private industry, with a focus on private equity funds and/or hedge funds.Knowledge of fund accounting, investment transactions, and financial reporting.Experience with account reconciliations, capital activity, and investor reporting.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical skills. xzbcwsv Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and reporting deadlines.
