Salary: £31,000–£35,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days including Saturdays (day off during the week)

The Opportunity We are currently recruiting for a Sports Ground Facilities Manager to join a well-established independent school's Estates team, based at an impressive sports facility in Chiswick, West London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Caretaker, Maintenance Operative, Site Supervisor or Facilities professional looking to take ownership of the day-to-day maintenance, security and general upkeep of a busy sporting environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the facilities, buildings and surrounding grounds are maintained to a high standard, providing a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day maintenance, security and general upkeep of the sports ground and associated buildings.
Carry out reactive maintenance, minor repairs, plumbing, painting and decorating.
Ensure planned preventative maintenance activities are completed as required.
Conduct daily building inspections, identifying maintenance issues and ensuring facilities remain operational.
Monitor building services, including heating, lighting and water systems.
Manage external contractors, obtain quotations and oversee works on site.
Maintain changing rooms, showers, toilets, drainage systems and other facilities.
Assist with the upkeep of external grounds, boundary fencing and surrounding areas.
Coordinate waste management, deliveries and general site services.
Maintain the caretaker rota and assist with the setup and delivery of sporting events.
Support the wider Estates team across additional school facilities when required.
Ensure safe working practices and maintain a clean, secure and well-presented environment.
The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a practical, hands-on individual with a strong maintenance background and the ability to work independently.
Previous experience within caretaking, building maintenance, facilities management or a similar role.
Good general maintenance skills, including basic plumbing, painting and decorating.
Experience coordinating contractors and managing maintenance activities.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
A proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues.
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Basic IT skills.
Flexibility to work Saturdays, assist with weekend events and respond to site emergencies when required.
Experience working within schools, education estates, sports facilities or similar environments would be advantageous.
