Product Development Associate

We are hiring a Freelance Associate Product Development & Sourcing Coordinator for a Global Fashion company to support the end-to-end product development process while partnering closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely execution and successful product launches.This position is located in NYC and operates 4 days onsite.Hourly pay rate up to $41.00 based on experience.Responsibilities:Support product development initiatives from concept through production.Coordinate communication between design, merchandising, sourcing, production, and external vendors.Track development timelines, sample status, and key milestones to ensure projects stay on schedule.Assist with sourcing materials, trims, and manufacturing partners while maintaining vendor relationships.Manage purchase orders, costing information, and product specifications.Maintain development calendars, reports, and product data within company systems.Review samples and assist with quality, fit, and compliance requirements.Help identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and optimize vendor performance.Required Qualifications:2-4 years of experience in product development, sourcing, production, or merchandising.Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and product lifecycle management (PLM) systems is a plus.Experience working with apparel, accessories, consumer products, or related categories preferred.If you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
