A fast-growing cybersecurity company is looking for a hands-on Lead Security Engineer to take ownership of its internal security as the business continues to scale.The company has strong financial backing and is growing quickly. The role
You’ll build and run the company’s internal security programme, working closely with leadership, engineering and its IT provider. It’s a senior individual contributor position with broad ownership, not a people-management role.You’ll be responsible for:
Identity and access, including SSO, MFA, conditional access and privileged accessEndpoint, email, cloud, network and SaaS securityVulnerability management, patching and endpoint hardeningInternal incident response, from investigation through to follow-upSOC 2 and ISO 27001 work, including audit preparation and evidenceSecurity policies, awareness training and vendor riskThe security of workplace systems and the company’s IT environment
What they’re looking for
At least five years’ hands-on experience in security engineering, IT security or corporate securityExperience owning security controls or programmes in a software or technology businessStrong practical experience in identity, endpoint, cloud or SaaS securityExperience with SOC 2 or ISO 27001 auditsExperience handling internal security incidentsSomeone comfortable working independently and communicating with both technical and non-technical teams
