Quality assurance automation engineer

Job Title: Automation QA Engineer
Location: Chennai , Tamil , India
Key Responsibilitie
s Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications
. Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks
. Execute automated regression, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end test suites
. Perform API automation testing and backend validation
. Validate databases using SQL queries
. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
. Analyze test failures and work closely with developers to resolve issues
. Participate in sprint planning, requirement analysis, and design reviews
. Improve test coverage and reduce manual testing effort
. Create and maintain automation documentation and test reports
. Ensure software quality, stability, and performance before release
. Required Skill
s Strong experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Appium
. Programming knowledge in Java Script, Type Script, Java, or Python
. Experience with API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools
. Good understanding of SQL and database testing
. Experience with Git and CI/CD tools (Git Hub Actions, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, etc.)
. Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
. Knowledge of performance and security testing is an added advantage
. Excellent analytical and debugging skills
