Title: FIG Investment Banking – AssociateSalary: $175,000 – $200,000 + BonusLocation: Charlotte, NC / Possible other locations Chicago and or NYC
Day to Day - ResponsibilitiesExecute and support M&A mandates from pitch through closingBuild and maintain detailed financial models, valuation analyses and transaction materialsPrepare client presentations, pitch books, CIMs, management presentations and other marketing materialsConduct company, industry and market research across FIG sub-sectorsSupport senior bankers in business development, pitches and client originationParticipate in due diligence processes and coordinate with clients, lawyers, accountants and other advisorsWork closely with FIG and Insurance MDs and Directors on live transactions and strategic assignmentsDevelop a strong understanding of key FIG subsectors, with an opportunity to become a market specialistHelp mentor and develop Analysts while contributing to a collaborative team environmentMonitor industry trends, M&A activity, valuations and relevant market developmentsTake increasing ownership of transaction execution and client-facing responsibilities
RequirementsBA/BS in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field3–5 years of relevant Investment xzbcwsv Banking experienceStrong M&A execution experience is requiredFIG experience strongly preferred, particularly in Insurance, Wealth Management, Asset Management, Fintech, InsurTech, Banks, Payments or Specialty FinanceExperience working on both buy-side/sell-side transactions preferredStrong financial modeling, valuation and analytical skillsExcellent PowerPoint and Excel skillsAbility to manage multiple transactions and work effectively in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work effectively with senior bankers and clientsSeries 7, 79 and 63 licenses preferredStrong interest in developing a long-term career within - Financial Institutions Investment Banking
