Senior Data Analyst

Akkodis is seeking a Sr. Data Analyst for one of our clients in McLean, VA.

Rate Range: $75.00 to $85.00/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
We are seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled Data Analytics Lead to drive data-driven decision making, process improvement initiatives, and reporting solutions across the organization. This role combines hands-on data analysis, software development, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with large datasets, building automated reporting solutions, managing projects from inception through delivery, and communicating insights and recommendations to both technical teams and senior business leaders.

Responsibilities & Qualifications5+ years of professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience analyzing data, identifying trends, and delivering actionable business insights.Minimum 4 years of programming experience, with strong proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, and Databricks.Experience using Python to automate and generate business deliverables, including Google Slides presentations, Google Sheets reports, and Google Docs documentation.At least 1 year of experience with Tableau and/or Amazon QuickSight for dashboard development and data visualization.Hands-on experience with system integrations, data validation processes, data quality controls, and testing methodologies.Strong knowledge of AWS services and cloud-based data solutions.Ability to evaluate business processes, identify operational gaps, and recommend scalable solutions to improve efficiency and data quality.Experience leading projects, coordinating stakeholders, tracking deliverables, facilitating meetings, documenting action items, and providing regular status updates.Ability to communicate complex findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.Experience developing project timelines, defining milestones, managing dependencies, and ensuring successful project execution.Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Customer-focused mindset with the ability to understand business needs and provide timely updates on project progress.Self-starter who learns quickly, adapts to changing priorities, and collaborates effectively within cross-functional teams.Prior experience managing people, leading initiatives, or serving as a project lead is preferred.
