Roles and Responsibilities

• Liaising closely with sales, buying and production teams on an ongoing basis to ensure the item suits the customer, market and price points.
• Establishing best in class design process across denim product category
• Assist for selection of fabric, trims, styles and other accessories including packaging for development sample
• Understanding the technical guidelines form various departments while selecting the style, fabric and other trims for the better feasibility of product in bulk production
• To create/visualize an idea and producing a design by hand sketch or using computer-based software.
• Working with others in the design team, product development and forecasters, to develop products to meet a brief.
• To keep up to date with emerging and upcoming fashion trends, competition as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colors etc.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Experience of 4-5 years in design of menswear (denim category).
2. A fashion design graduate/postgraduate from NIFT.
