Role Description This is a full-time, on-site MYP & DP Music Facilitator role based in Hyderabad. The facilitator will plan and deliver engaging music lessons aligned with IB MYP and DP frameworks, fostering creativity, musical inquiry, and reflective practice among learners. Daily responsibilities include designing unit plans, preparing learning resources, guiding individual and group performance, and integrating music theory, composition, and appreciation into the curriculum. The role involves assessing student progress using IB-aligned criteria, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records of learning and achievement. The facilitator will collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, organize performances and showcases, participate in professional development, and contribute actively to the school’s culture of collaboration and joyful learning. Qualifications Strong foundation in music education, including music theory, performance, and composition, with the ability to facilitate learning in diverse genres and styles. Experience teaching or facilitating in IB MYP and/or DP, or a clear understanding of inquiry-based, concept-driven, and student-centered pedagogies. Ability to design clear unit plans, assessments, and learning experiences that support differentiated instruction and holistic student development. Proficiency in using music technology and digital tools (e.g., notation software, DAWs, audio recording) to enhance teaching and learning. Excellent classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills, with a commitment to creating safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environments. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music, Music Education, or a closely related field from a recognized institution. Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development, reflect on practice, and contribute to school events, performances, and community initiatives. Prior experience in international or progressive schools is an advantage; familiarity with diverse cultural contexts and global-mindedness is highly valued.
