Job Description
Overview Registered Nurse – Emergency Department travel assignment in Utica, New York. Start date: 09/14/2026. Approximately 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,213-$2,290 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 2x3 Days. Setting: hospital ED. This role provides care for adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients in a 64-bed Emergency Department with triage, rapid assessment, and stabilization. Key Highlights

- Setting: Emergency Department in a hospital
- Deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Department for newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics, including triage, assessment, stabilization, and disposition.
- Administer medications, monitor responses, manage acuity, and support pain control and symptom management; operate department equipment as indicated (e.g., Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun when applicable).
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other team members; participate in resuscitation and code events; contribute to discharge planning and patient-family education.
- Document all care in the EMR (EPIC) with accurate, timely charting; ensure regulatory and infection-control practices are followed.
- Provide turnover and handoffs to oncoming staff; float to approved ED areas as needed; support charge capability when available.
- Active NY RN license
- Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC; TNCC must be in hand
- ED experience: 2+ years with pediatric exposure; travel experience required
- EMR: EPIC experience
- Licensure verification: NURSYS verification of active NY license and all RN licenses; RTO must be included at submission; driver’s license with address matching demographics
- Ability to work in a high-volume ED; float as needed; charge capability preferred
