Shared Services Manager

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance operations leader who understands shared services, outsourced accounting, SOX/internal controls, KPIs, and process improvement and enjoys working at the intersection of accounting, operations, and technology.This is not a high-volume transaction-processing role. The successful candidate will provide onshore leadership and governance over an outsourced finance organization of approximately 20–25 offshore professionals, ensuring accounting processes are accurate, efficient, timely, and compliant with established service levels and internal controls.What You'll DoServe as the primary relationship manager for an outsourced finance/shared services provider.Lead recurring operational and governance meetings with provider leadership.Oversee an offshore finance organization of approximately 20–25 professionals.Monitor staffing, productivity, capacity, service quality, and performance against established SLAs.Oversee transactional accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Application, reconciliations, journal entries, vendor/customer master data, expense reporting, fixed assets, payroll support, and month-end close support.Develop and monitor operational KPIs, scorecards, and executive-level reporting.Identify performance gaps and lead corrective action plans when service levels are not achieved.Ensure appropriate segregation of duties, maker/checker controls, exception monitoring, and control documentation.Support SOX testing, internal audit requests, and remediation activities within a public-company environment.Partner with Accounting, Treasury, FP&A, IT, Procurement, HR, and other business functions to improve finance processes.Identify opportunities for automation, workflow improvement, and reduction of manual processes.Partner with ERP leadership to improve finance workflows, approvals, and integrations.Lead and develop an onshore Finance Operations/Controls Analyst.Coordinate the transition of new finance processes into the shared services organization.What We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.8–12+ years of progressive finance or accounting operations experience.Demonstrated experience managing or governing outsourced finance, BPO, shared services, or global business services organizations.Experience managing or partnering with offshore finance/accounting teams.Experience within a publicly traded company and SEC reporting environment strongly preferred.Strong understanding of SOX, internal controls, segregation of duties, and audit requirements.Experience managing SLAs, KPIs, operational scorecards, and service-level performance.Broad understanding of transactional accounting and month-end close processes.Strong process improvement and problem-solving skills.Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is highly preferred.Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.CPA is preferred but not required.Preferred ExperienceExperience with one or more of the following is a plus:Third-party BPO/provider managementNetSuite OneWorldBlackLineFloQastCoupaLean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologiesFinance transformationGlobal Business ServicesFinance automation and workflow optimizationWhat Success Looks LikeIn this role, success will be measured by:Consistent achievement of shared-services SLAsImproved first-pass quality and operational KPIsTimely and accurate month-end close supportStrong SOX and internal control performanceReduction in audit findings and control exceptionsImproved automation and process efficiencyStrong stakeholder satisfactionA well-governed, high-performing outsourced finance organizationWhy This Opportunity?This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a publicly traded organization, helping shape how a finance organization operates through governance, metrics, controls, technology, and continuous improvement. xzbcwsv If you have experience leading outsourced accounting/shared services operations and are ready to take ownership of finance operations performance, we'd love to hear from you.To be considered, please apply directly or reach out to learn more about the opportunity.
