This position includes operating telephone control board and paging system, dispatching incoming calls, and paging internal and on-call clinical staff during and after regular business hours. I. Major Responsibilities:- Answers phones and routes incoming calls to appropriate offices or personnel; Dispatch emergency Code calls to clinical personnel.
- Processes paperwork in an efficient manner according to set procedures. This includes proper filing and distribution of clinical on-call schedules and wireless devices.
- Complies with established departmental policies, procedures and objectives.
- Attends variety of meetings, conferences, seminars as required or directed.
- Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations.
- Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements.
- Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.
- Maintains, regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
- Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.
- Must have knowledge and experience with MS Office products (specifically EXCEL).
- Must have accurate keyboarding skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills to include proper vocabulary, spelling, grammar and sentence structure.
- Good customer service skills.
- Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
