Hourly/Non-Exempt
The Service Technician is responsible for in-house repairs on equipment, providing troubleshooting customer support via phone and email, and field service traveling. The position reports to the Service Manager and will be assigned special projects and additional tasks, as needed.
Job Responsibilities - Service Technician
Provide service and customer support during field visits
Install new products, and test them to ensure they are working correctly
Educate the customer on how to use and maintain their equipment
Explain issues with equipment and repairs to customer
Manage all on-site repairs and maintenance
Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations
Produce timely and detailed service reports
Build and maintain relationships with customers
Assist in maintaining the highest quality of product provided by WEISS NA
Desired Skills & Experience - Service Technician
Education: High School diploma or GED
Experience: 2 – 3 years in service technician or similar role
Have the ability to multi-task and produce quality results under pressure
Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Must be self-started and able to work independently with little supervision
Software and electrical experiences a plus, but not required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP is a plus, but not required.
Travel up to 20%
