Our client Sowears is seeking a Senior Fashion Designer for a permanent position. Are you a visionary senior fashion designer? We are looking two talented individuals to join our dynamic team in Karachi, Pakistan, where you will play a pivotal role in conceptualizing and bringing to life our innovative apparel collections. This permanent position offers a chance to contribute significantly to our brand's aesthetic and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and develop original fashion designs from initial sketches to final prototypes, aligning with brand aesthetic and market trends.
• Translate creative concepts into detailed technical sketches, specifying fabrics, colors, trims, and construction details.
• Conduct thorough trend research and forecasting to identify emerging styles, silhouettes, and color palettes relevant to our target market.
• Collaborate closely with pattern makers and the production team to ensure accurate garment construction and fit throughout the sampling process.
• Source and evaluate new fabrics, trims, and materials to enhance design quality and innovation.
• Oversee the draping and fitting process, making necessary adjustments to achieve the desired look and feel of the garments.
• Contribute creative insights and solutions to overcome design and production challenges.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Design, Master of Fashion Design, or a recognized Diploma in Fashion Design.
• 2 to 4 years of professional experience in fashion design, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative and technical proficiency.
• Proficiency in fashion illustration, sketching, and draping techniques.
• Solid understanding of pattern making, garment construction, and sewing techniques.
• Extensive knowledge of textiles, fabrics, and their properties.
• Demonstrated ability in trend forecasting and color theory application.
• Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and a strong sense of aesthetic.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in English for effective communication and collaboration.
• Experience with fabric sourcing and vendor relationships.
