Residential Architectural Designer & Project Coordinator

FULL-TIME REMOTE POSITION — LATIN AMERICA

We are a growing Canadian home builder based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, seeking an experienced Residential Architectural Designer & Project Coordinator based in India for a full-time, long-term remote position.

This is not solely a design role. The successful candidate will remain involved throughout the complete project lifecycle—from design and construction documentation through quantity takeoffs, procurement and project execution—while assisting the Project Manager with ongoing coordination.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare residential designs, permit drawings and detailed construction documents

• Develop accurate BIM models and drawing packages using Revit

• Prepare and revise AutoCAD drawings

• Produce professional interior and exterior 3D renderings

• Complete material quantity takeoffs and related schedules

• Draft project specifications, scopes of work and material schedules

• Assist with product research, pricing, supplier coordination and procurement

• Support the Project Manager with planning, coordination and project follow-up

• Coordinate information among consultants, suppliers, trades and the construction team

• Track drawing revisions, RFIs, submittals, selections, approvals and outstanding items

• Review shop drawings and supplier information against project requirements

• Identify drawing conflicts, missing details and constructability concerns

• Maintain organized project records, schedules, drawing sets and coordination logs

• Assist with resolving design and documentation issues during construction

• Follow up with responsible parties to help keep projects on schedule

Required qualifications:

• Proven experience in single-family or multi-family residential projects

• Experience supporting projects during both design and construction

• Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD

• Experience producing coordinated residential construction drawing sets

• Experience creating professional architectural renderings

• Practical knowledge of residential construction methods and materials

• Experience with quantity takeoffs, specifications and procurement support

• Strong project coordination, communication and follow-up skills

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• Fluent professional English, both spoken and written

• Reliable computer, high-speed internet connection and remote working environment

• Availability to work agreed hours with substantial overlap with Saskatchewan, Canada

Please note that overlapping with Saskatchewan business hours may require evening working hours in India.

Experience with Canadian or North American building practices, building codes and wood-frame residential construction is a strong asset.
