Role Description

The Staff Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Eden, NC, responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting activities for both GreenGo Buggies and Eden Lawnmower. This role handles accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking across both business entities. The Staff Accountant prepares and reviews financial statements, supports month-end and year-end closing processes, and helps maintain accurate financial records in accordance with company policies. Additionally, this role involves assisting with budgeting, forecasting, supporting audits, and collaborating with operations and leadership to provide clear financial insights. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining internal controls and supporting the operational growth of both our retail and manufacturing divisions.

Qualifications

• Foundational accounting skills, including general ledger management, journal entries, and dual-entity reconciliations.

• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheets, formulas, and data analysis.

• Strong financial reporting abilities, including preparing balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports for multiple revenue streams.

• Knowledge of basic tax concepts, compliance requirements, inventory accounting, and support for audits and external reporting.

• Attention to detail, accuracy in numerical work, and strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across retail and manufacturing teams and explain financial information clearly.

• Ability to work on-site in Eden, NC and Stokesdale, NC, prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, and maintain confidentiality and integrity.

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; manufacturing, retail, or small-business experience is a strong plus.
