Job Description

A high-performing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to support its HR and Talent Development teams. This role offers broad exposure to the employee lifecycle—from onboarding and daily HR operations to early-career and professional development programs. You’ll work with colleagues across People, Recruiting, Legal, Compliance, and other teams to keep programs and processes running smoothly. The right person brings a strong academic or professional track record, 2–4 years of experience coordinating work in an HR-related capacity, and the judgment and initiative to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Coordinate HR and Talent Development operations, bringing care, accuracy, and follow-through to both areas. Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for new hires and help deliver a smooth onboarding experience. Maintain accurate employee information, reports, and workflows in the HRIS and other internal systems. Coordinate employee lifecycle processes such as organizational changes, employment verifications, relocations, performance reviews, and offboarding. Manage logistics for intern, new graduate, and professional development programs, including scheduling, communications, materials, feedback, and program evaluations. Build strong working relationships with partner teams and vendors to coordinate work across the organization. Identify manual steps and process gaps; recommend practical improvements using technology and AI where appropriate. Handle confidential information with discretion and take on additional responsibilities as business needs evolve. Qualifications: 2–4 years of experience coordinating programs or processes in HR, People Operations, Talent Development, recruiting, or a related area. A strong academic or professional record and experience in a rigorous, high-performing environment. Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through. Clear, professional communication skills and confidence working with colleagues at all levels. The ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and adapt when plans change. Curiosity about improving processes and practical experience using technology or AI to work more efficiently. Prior experience with Workday or another major HRIS is helpful; early-career program experience is a plus. A collaborative approach, sound judgment, and enthusiasm for working as part of a high-performing team. This role is based in Chicago and requires working in the office five days a week.
