Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SSRS Developer to design, build, and maintain enterprise reporting and data solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong SQL and SSRS development skills with working knowledge of Power BI, Python, and modern web technologies to deliver accurate, meaningful reports, robust automation, and reliable application support. This role partners closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to translate requirements into effective reporting, database, and automation solutions, and serves as the subject matter expert for SSRS-related initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects for application and reporting requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance SSRS reports using multiple enterprise data sources, including Analysis Services cubes and relational databases.
• Build and support reporting solutions in Microsoft Power BI alongside SSRS.
• Develop Python scripts and utilities for automation, data processing, validation, and operational tasks.
• Provide application-level production support, troubleshoot bugs, and perform root-cause analysis for technical and data-related issues.
• Work with REST APIs, JSON, and system integrations to support data exchange, troubleshooting, and application enhancements.
• Utilize HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for web application support, troubleshooting, and minor enhancements.
• Analyze and optimize slow-running queries, stored procedures, and overall database performance using execution plans, indexing, and query optimization techniques.
• Support data extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and integration across applications and databases.
• Apply knowledge of data analytics and machine learning concepts to analytical initiatives and proof-of-concept solutions.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into effective application, database, reporting, and automation solutions.
• Review report layout and formatting to ensure end users have clarity when reviewing data points.
• Provide technical support to SSRS, Power BI, and application users, resolving production incidents within defined timelines.
• Participate in application enhancements, testing, deployment, production validation, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with business users, IT teams, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders on requirement gathering and issue resolution.
• Identify opportunities for process automation, performance improvement, and technology-driven operational efficiency.
• Act as the subject matter expert on SSRS-related matters and follow through on enhancements to current data models and reporting.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

• 1-2 years of experience with Python, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Microsoft Power BI
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle.
• Experience with Visual Studio and report-writing tools across a variety of data sources.
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and system integrations.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for web application support.
• Understanding of data analytics and machine learning concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and remain detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong team collaboration skills, with creativity and problem-solving ability.
• Understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) , Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP) & retrieval augmented generation (RAG)
