API Automation Engineer

Presently we are unable to sponsor and request applicants to apply who are authorized to work without sponsorship Senior API Automation Engineer Location: Wilmington, DE/ New York NY (Onsite) Duration: 12-Month Contract Overview Seeking a Senior API Automation Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in backend test automation. This is a hands-on role focused on API automation (90%) , requiring strong coding skills in Java or Python and experience building automation frameworks using Cucumber Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain API automation frameworks and test suites. Create automated tests for REST APIs and backend services. Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Improve automation coverage and testing efficiency. Support CI/CD and Agile development practices. Participate in code reviews, testing strategy, and quality initiatives. Required Skills 5-10 years of Automation/SDET experience. Strong coding skills in Java or Python Extensive API Automation experience. Hands-on experience with Cucumber Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and backend testing. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience with Bruno , Postman, Rest Assured, Jenkins, Git, or Maven.
