Job Description Senior Manager, SAP Basis Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Manager, SAP Basis to lead the stability, security, strategic direction, and operational performance of our SAP landscape in a fast-paced, dynamic, and large-scale enterprise environment. This role combines deep technical leadership, partner and team leadership, and end-to-end accountability for operational support and project delivery across Azure-hosted environments, SAP BTP support, SAP data archiving, routine patching, upgrade and migration planning, landscape strategy, performance tuning, vulnerability remediation, and audit and compliance support, all executed through disciplined ITSM processes. The role requires a leader who can balance hands-on technical depth with broader platform strategy, cross-functional influence, and delivery leadership. Key Responsibilities Lead the overall SAP Basis function across the landscape, ensuring reliability, security, service quality, and alignment to business priorities Set direction for SAP Basis operational strategy, platform roadmaps, lifecycle planning, and continuous improvement initiatives Lead external support partners and internal stakeholders, including service delivery governance, escalations, performance management, and accountability Provide senior technical oversight across monitoring, incident response, patching, upgrades, refreshes, transports, performance tuning, and SAP BTP support Own SAP landscape strategy, including upgrade planning, migration planning, capacity planning, resiliency, and long-term platform health Oversee SAP Basis support for Azure-hosted environments and SAP data archiving activities, ensuring secure, stable, and scalable operations Ensure work is executed in alignment with established ITSM processes, operational controls, governance standards, and support expectations Partner with security teams on SAP security notes, vulnerability remediation, certificate lifecycle, TLS-related technical security operations, and broader risk reduction efforts Drive large-scale SAP Basis-related projects, infrastructure improvements, and platform modernization initiatives from planning through execution Maintain strong audit readiness, compliance alignment, governance discipline, and operational standards across the environment Partner across infrastructure, security, application, architecture, and project teams to support enterprise priorities and enable successful delivery Communicate strategic priorities, operational risks, remediation plans, major dependencies, and project status clearly to leadership and key stakeholders Develop and strengthen the overall operating model for SAP Basis support, including standards, processes, quality controls, and service performance expectations Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 10 years of experience in technical and leadership roles supporting SAP Basis or similar enterprise platforms Strong SAP Basis administration, platform operations, and enterprise support experience in complex environments Experience leading outsourced or external partners and driving accountability in operational support models Experience with SAP operations, upgrades, migration planning, patching, transports, incident management, performance tuning, and SAP BTP support Experience supporting Azure-hosted SAP environments, SAP data archiving, and structured ITSM processes Strong knowledge of security, audit, governance, compliance, Single Sign-On, TLS security, and certificate lifecycle management Strong understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems, along with operating system scripting for automation and support Strong knowledge of ABAP and Java NetWeaver-based systems, including S/4HANA, ECC, APO, EWM, BW, MII, Portals, and Process Orchestration, plus strong DBA capabilities in SAP HANA and SAP ASE Ability to write SQL queries to analyze data statistics, support troubleshooting, and identify trends, with strong knowledge of application development and cross-functional technical delivery Success in This Role SAP Basis services are stable, secure, scalable, and well-governed Partner performance and service delivery are managed with clear accountability and strong operational discipline Upgrades, migrations, and platform initiatives are delivered with minimal disruption and strong cross-functional coordination Risks, vulnerabilities, and audit findings are addressed with urgency, rigor, and sustained follow-through Platform strategy, operational priorities, and delivery progress are visible and well understood by stakeholders and leadership The SAP Basis function operates with strong standards, effective governance, and a clear roadmap for continuous improvement Location(s) Bengaluru - Brookfield GCC Kraft Heinz is an Equal Opportunity Employer - Underrepresented Ethnic Minority Groups/Women/Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity and other protected classes .
