We are seeking an experienced Akamai Security Engineer with expertise in enterprise-scale Akamai implementations, web application security, and emerging AI/LLM security technologies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on Akamai experience
• Akamai Kona Site Defender
• Akamai Bot Manager
• Akamai API Security
• Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10
• Incident Response and Security Operations experience
• Enterprise-scale migration experience
• Financial Services industry experience

Preferred Skills

• AI/LLM Security
• Akamai Firewall for AI
• GenAI Security Controls
• Prompt Injection Defense
• AI Application Security

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Akamai security solutions.
• Configure and optimize Kona Site Defender, Bot Manager, and API Security.
• Lead enterprise-scale Akamai migrations and security initiatives.
• Respond to and mitigate security incidents.
• Secure AI/LLM-enabled applications using Akamai Firewall for AI and related controls.
• Partner with development, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure adherence to security best practices.

Basic Qualifications

• Strong experience with application security and API protection.
• Deep knowledge of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
• Experience protecting large-scale internet-facing applications.
• Excellent troubleshooting and incident response skills.
• Financial services domain experience preferred.
