WE ARE HIRING: BUSINESS HEAD — NEW MARKETS

Cervetti Italia is a premium furniture and cabinet hardware brand. We have built our business in Karnataka, and we are now opening West and South India — starting with Mumbai and Hyderabad — through super stockists and distributors.

This is a building role, not a maintenance role. Whoever takes it will open markets that do not exist for us yet, appoint the partners who will hold them, and put the system in place behind them. 

WHAT THE ROLE OWNS

• Appointing and developing super stockists and distributors in new markets

• Building the dealer and retail hardware counter network behind them

• Opening furniture and cabinet OEM accounts

• Building the sales system and the process as the network grows

• Hiring and leading sales officers in new cities as those cities open

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 8 to 12 years in sales, of which at least five in dealer and distributor channel sales

• Building materials or interior products — furniture fittings and hardware, plywood, laminates and boards, locks and architectural hardware

• A record of appointing distributors and making them profitable, not only servicing ones that were already there

• Currently at Area or Regional Sales Manager level and ready for a head role, rather than already holding one

• Graduate. An MBA is welcome and not required

• English and Hindi. Marathi, Gujarati, Telugu or Tamil is an advantage

• Comfortable with 15 to 18 days a month in the market

WHERE THIS ROLE GOES

Business Head — New Markets today. As the network builds and the team grows, this becomes the National Sales Head position.

THE PARTICULARS

• Based in Bengaluru

• Territory: Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala

• Reporting to the Managing Director

• ₹12–18 lakhs fixed, plus a performance incentive on new business. 

• Three conversations, and a short written plan for one market at the final stage

• We can wait out a 30-day notice period, and would like the person in within 30 to 60 days
