Associate Attorney – Fort Lauderdale
The Cook Group is seeking an Associate to join our growing Florida office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to build a successful litigation career while working alongside experienced trial attorneys in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Managing defense files from inception through resolutionDeveloping effective defense strategiesPreparing pleadings, motions, and written discoveryConducting and defending depositionsPreparing and arguing motionsCommunicating regularly with clients and insurance carriersAssisting with trial preparation and courtroom proceedings

QualificationsThe ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment. They are receptive to feedback, eager to learn, and committed to delivering exceptional client service.Requirements include:Admission to the Florida Bar1–5 years of litigation experience (defense litigation preferred)Excellent academic credentialsStrong legal research, writing, and analytical skillsOutstanding communication and organizational skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environmentStrong attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
