Estimator – Roofing Location: Worthing, West Sussex (Office-based with site visits)

Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 DOE + 25% Bonus Scheme (£12,500 – £17,500 potential) + Company Vehicle

About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator to join a leading team based in Worthing, West Sussex.
In this role, you will take ownership of the full spectrum of roofing estimating activities, managing tenders for projects ranging from £50K to £500K . You will analyse enquiries, conduct site visits, work with architectural drawings and estimating software, and price works competitively. Working primarily from the office with site visits as required, you will guide projects from initial enquiry to submission while collaborating with commercial, construction, and business development teams.
Key Responsibilities Tender & Cost Management: Analyse enquiries, carry out site surveys/measurements, and prepare detailed, accurate tenders, programmes of work, and project cost records.
Commercial Support: Support Project Management throughout delivery, compile accurate payment applications, and assist the Contracts Manager with pricing work variations.
Client & Team Collaboration: Work closely with Contracts, Commercial, and Construction teams across the Group to secure projects and maintain strong client and supplier relationships.
Key Requirements Experience: Proven estimating experience within the Construction / Roofing sector.
Qualifications: Degree or equivalent higher qualification (ideally in Construction, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Maths, or Accounting).
Technical & Contractual Knowledge: Sound understanding of contractual terms and conditions in construction, along with strong technological competence.
Attributes: Highly organised, methodical, and self-motivated with strong problem-solving and client-building skills.
Salary & Benefits Base Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Performance Bonus: Up to 25% annual bonus scheme (£12,500 – £17,500 earning potential)
Company Vehicle: Provided for business use and site visits
Holiday Allowance: Generous annual leave, including an office closure over the Christmas period
