Primary Purpose of Role:

Deliver clear, timely and on‑brand internal communications for a global workforce while enabling community and culture programs. Based in India, this junior specialist provides follow‑the‑sun support so global requests (including U.S.) can be progressed overnight, partners with leaders and program owners, and ensures content is concise, accurate and easy to act on. The role enables Employee Resource Group (ERG) chapters and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives with communications toolkits and guidance – without owning or organizing events – maintaining global alignment and local relevance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, edit and publish employee‑facing content across intranet, email and digital signage using plain language and Associated Press (AP) style.
  • Maintain a simple editorial calendar; coordinate inputs and approvals to deliver on time to agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Activate content across multiple channels and segments; repurpose messages for different audiences and regions.
  • Support leadership communications (memos, talking points, slides) for global updates and employee engagement.
  • Enable ERG chapters and Community / CSR programs with templates, toolkits and announcement copy; do not own event logistics.
  • Keep SharePoint and ServiceNow pages accurate and navigable; archive dated content and tag assets for easy discovery.
  • Track basic metrics (opens, clicks, views) and share monthly insights to improve reach and clarity.
  • Provide follow‑the‑sun coverage to progress U.S. / global requests overnight and coordinate hand‑offs across time zones.

  • Owned Channel Effectiveness (email and intranet engagement).
  • Communication Activation (registrations / uptake driven by content).
  • Culture & Community Engagement (ERG participation, volunteer metrics).
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction (feedback and partnership effectiveness).
  • On‑time, Accurate Delivery (adherence to agreed SLAs and brand / style).

Competencies and Behaviors:

  • Detail‑oriented with strong editing / proofreading discipline.
  • Digital literacy across Microsoft 365 and intranet publishing tools.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, PR or related field – OR equivalent practical experience writing for internal audiences.
  • Strong English writing and editing skills; familiarity with AP style

Preferred:

  • Exposure to CSR communications as well as community and culture programming.
  • Additional languages; experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.

Experience:

Minimum:

  • 2+ years in internal / employee communications or related writing roles.
  • Hands‑on publishing with Microsoft 365, ServiceNow and SharePoint (pages, news, assets).
  • Managing a basic editorial calendar and stakeholder approvals.
  • Using simple analytics to improve clarity and reach.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with ContactMonkey or similar tools (no certification required).
  • Experience enabling events or volunteering programs without owning logistics.
  • Cross‑time‑zone collaboration and hand‑offs in a global matrix.

Scope Factors

  • Global remit serving multiple business units; no direct budget or people management.
  • Works in a matrix across HR and group function and business unit leaders.
  • Focus on content quality, activation and stakeholder partnership.

Travel or Physical Demands:

  • Primarily office-based; occasional visits to manufacturing areas for context.
  • Occasional travel up to 10-15% (budget accordingly)
